The Journal of Production Economics focuses on topics relating to the interface between engineers and management. All aspects of the subject are considered in relation to the manufacturing industry, as well as production as a whole. The magazine is interdisciplinary in nature, taking into account the entire cycles of activity, such as the product life cycle – research, design, development, testing, launch, recycling – and the material flow cycle – supply, production, distribution.
The ultimate goal of the journal is to spread knowledge to improve production practices and strengthen the theoretical framework necessary to support sound decision making. The journal provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and the presentation of new developments in the field of theory and application, where engineering and technology meet the managerial and economic conditions in which the industry operates. The journal combines the high standards of a traditional academic approach with the practical significance of industrial research.
Accepted articles should contain a significant new scientific contribution. Tracking the economic and financial implications of analyzing a given problem and solution is related to the central topic of the journal. Materials must strictly follow the guidelines for authors of the journal.
